Tony Nuzio: We are a transportation and logistics consulting firm solely focused on improving efficiencies and reducing our clients’ shipping costs enabling them to immediately improve their bottom lines.

TDE: What are your thoughts on the current pace of digital transformation in your industry?

Tony Nuzio: Our industry is moving at a break-speed pace in the area of digital transformation. The challenge for our clients is to assess what works and what doesn’t for their specific operations.

TDE: What do you feel is the one technology trend within your industry that cannot be ignored?

Tony Nuzio: The one area that cannot be ignored is blockchain technology. Unfortunately it is still rather new and not fully understood by the masses.

TDE: Have you used technology for managing a) field team operations, b) sales/channel management, c) shipment tracking, d) employee engagement, or e) customer retention? What has been your experience?

Tony Nuzio: Yes, we have been using technology in our business for sales/channel management, employee engagement as well as customer retention.

TDE: How integrated is your customer experience – from sales to operations to delivery tracking? Do your customers have access to a common portal?

Tony Nuzio: In our business, delivery tracking is not one of the services we use, however it is extremely critical for all of our clients who are global shippers and receivers.

Most of our clients currently rely on a variety of tracking systems. This is because of the number of different service providers in their transportation network.
